What might I be doing as a volunteer?

Here are the various stations we will be needing volunteers at throughout the festival.

Info Booth & Raffle Table: Welcome people to the fest, share about the guild, manage raffle tickets, and monetary donations. The first spot most people stop when entering the fest and our most outgoing station.

Guild Vendor Booth: Manage the sales transactions for the guild booth selling members handmade items. Must be a Guild Member to volunteer at this station.

Make-N-Take Station: There will be predetermined crafts for participants to complete. You will be provided with all materials and instructions in order to do so. This is a good station for people who like working in smaller groups and with kids.

Art Show Guide: Assist Reaghan (Art Show Coordinator) in answering questions about the art show, encouraging participants to vote for their favorites and helping with QR codes for sales of specified art.

Demo & Class Rotation Assistant: Report to Kara (Class Coordinator) and help with people transitions between classes.

Parking Attendants: Direct attendees to the overflow parking lot. You will have maps, vests, and a tent/chairs.

Float: Checking in with the above stations, rotating out for short breaks, checking in with vendors to offer water or break if needed, or filling gaps as needed for the event.

Set-up/Breakdown Crew: Assisting with moving furniture, directing vendors, helping vendors unload and load, putting together raffle baskets, the most labor-intensive position.

How long are shifts?

Shifts are a minimum of 2 hours and those that work 4+ hours consecutively will receive a voucher for lunch at one of the food trucks.

I am not a guild member, can I volunteer?

Absolutely! We would love to have you volunteer with us.

What crafts will be at the Make-N-Take station?

We will be making feathers to add to our art installation throughout the festival!

You will be helping with making yarn, ribbon, or paper feathers. All the materials will be provided for you, check out the links to see a short tutorial on the project. We will have instructions for you on the day of as well.
